Palringo Now Available for Android Phones

Mobile instant messaging application Palringo is now available on the Android Market. Using Palringo, Android users can chat to their friends on Google Talk, MSN, Facebook, Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, iChat, QQ and other popular messaging services and social networks.

Android users can share their location with friends on Palringo: buddies can see each others’ location and proximity (distance away) alongside their status in the Palringo contact list. Users may also view a map showing the whereabouts of all of their contacts who have chosen to share their location.

Palringo for Android runs in the background on the phone and notifies the owner when they receive new messages from their buddies. This means they need never miss a chat message.

AOL announced an open beta of a new Windows Mobile application called ICQ Mobile. ICQ for Windows Mobile lets you communicate on your mobile phone, update your ICQ status and information when you're on the go.

ICQ for Windows Mobile supports Windows Mobile 5, Windows Mobile 6 and Windows Mobile 6.1. It is designed to work with both touch screen and non-touch screen Windows Mobile devices.

Download the mobile installer (.cab file) for ICQ for Windows Mobile to your desktop. Sync with your mobile phone and copy the .cab installer to your phone. From your phone go to Programs -> File Explorer, navigate to the .cab file and select it. The Mobile ICQ installer should do the rest.
