Error 810003c1 :Microsoft Has Discontinued WLM in Certain CountriesWhen you try to sign in to Windows Live Messenger, you receive the following error message:

810003c1: We were unable to sign you in to the .NET Messenger Service.

Microsoft has discontinued providing Windows Live Messenger service in certain countries subject to United States sanctions. Details of these sanctions are available from the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control.

    I want to feel bad about this, but I can't. Companies need to abide by these kinds of laws. It may be a bit annoying for the majority of the people who have not done anything wrong, but the dangerous minority needs to be taken into consideration. The only alternative, conversation screening, is even worse.
