Yafumato is an open source, web-based instant messenger client allowing users to connect to AIM, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo Messenger using only a web browser via HTTP or HTTPS.

The Yafumato server connects to IM networks by proxy and provides a web interface to the user, providing access to instant messaging from anywhere.

Yafumato is a completely cross-platform application — the server code is implemented entirely in Java, and a dynamic user interface is provided using AJAX technologies.
