November 09, 2006

I've added a table to Blogging Secret's code to put adsense near the text on a new blogger post.

Example:

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

# Find the line below div class="post-body"

# Add this code between [p] and [data:post.body/] tags:

Update:

I've replaced Blogger Digest' method with Blogging Secret's method, because it's not violating Adsense TOS.

# Replace the comment lines from your adsense code:

With:

# Save your template. You're finished.

This method does not alter the adsense code, it only decodes < and > for xml template.

Update :

You can use css if you don't want to use a table. (Method from Tech One)

Hi Louiss. I'm not a coder. I've made just some simple modifications. Hope you liked it. Thanks.

You will be banned if you change the adsense code as you have done in your hack.

  4. protesto // 11 December, 2006 19:22

    Hi Venkata,

You will not be banned, please read this post from Blogging Secret.

  6. Cyber-Buff // 13 December, 2006 13:01

I prefer to give a link anytime I write about someoneelse's post, it's an ethical thing. So you're always welcome ;)

mmm...looks like blogger digest's method mentioned by u works better, as the adsense code is not tamper in this context....great work!

  10. Ramanathan // 21 December, 2006 16:01

Thanks a lot. I applied your technique in my blog Did you write to adsense team and made clear that its the ads code modification doesnt violate TOS?

  11. protesto // 23 December, 2006 12:24

Sorry for replying late Ramanathan. I didn't ask it to google but I'm sure it's not violating TOS. If you right click on your page and view page source you'll see that adsense code is not modified. As I told, this change only decode < signs for xml parsing.

  12. Ramanathan // 23 December, 2006 15:18

Protesto, as we are depending on adsense for earning, we are not afford to take any chance. i have seen many publishers being kicked by google for unknown reasons.

Anyway, I have written to them. They replied immediately asking few more details like browser, OS, adblock, etc. I have replied them back with all the details. I will update you once I get a reply.

    Ramanathan

Ramanathan, i am waiting to know adsense reponse to ur poser.

  14. Shameel // 30 December, 2006 18:49

    protesto and ramanathan,

please refer to blogging secret's blog at:
    http://bloggingsecret.blogspot.com/2006/11/google-adsense-anoucement-for-blogger.html
where in louiss lim (blogging secret) says that he contacted adsense about altering comments tags. Adsense/Google's repsonse is reproduced there in the above blog. it says: "You are permitted to remove the comment tags."

Great...great and just great work of you guys ! I like to be an universal citizen for being like this..!

I fell the brotherhood of 'bloggers' here, that's the most important thing i guess.

Protesto, I use many of your template, from hackosphere ,vivek and others. I earn my good money from AdSense because of your kindness guys. Therefore I thank you all !

  19. TriniMan // 17 March, 2007 01:33

    @ Celebrity Photo Collector

I really don't know how to put adbrite inside the post. Generally javascript codes work in blogger code but sometimes it gives some errors and every error message differs from others.

  23. protesto // 13 April, 2007 13:15

  24. Helmis // 19 April, 2007 18:41

    Hi Protesto,
Thanks a lot for ur guide, i've managed to put my adsense code in between the post however i got a unique problem here.

I'm using geckoandfly blogger template and have done some fine tuning, the problem is after i put my adsense inbetween the post, the adsense on r/h side bar disappered, how and what make it happen?

Have tried to figure out all day but i'm totally got no clue.

  25. protesto // 19 April, 2007 19:08

    @ Helmis

Google adsense allows up 3 ad unit to serve on page. You've placed all these 3 ads on you main bar in posts. Your site loads this main bar, and then the sidebar on the right. It means, it loads these 3 ad units first, and then tries to load one more ad unit on your sidebar, but it fails. So you have to modify your template code and make your sidebar loads first. I hope I could explain it well.

  26. aroengbinang // 28 April, 2007 06:30

Hi Protesto, great tips. Have used it, but it only appears in the individual post. I recall that I have ever got a tip how to make it appear on the main page. Will look into it. Will put credit on my blog. Many thanks!

  27. Gult // 07 May, 2007 11:13

  29. protesto // 22 May, 2007 11:14

    Gibo,

    Find this line :

    <data:post.body/>

    After that, insert adsense code.

  30. Gibo // 01 June, 2007 05:12

  33. Traders // 15 July, 2007 00:07

    Great:::

  34. Traders // 15 July, 2007 00:36

Really great I tried and works. The only problem I Had was the background color of The Ads. Even if I choose white and the code corresppond on the blog appears of onother color...gray.
    Any suggestion.

    2) question..If I would like to put the Ads at the bottom of the post How should I do?

    Thanks very much

  35. protesto // 15 July, 2007 14:41

    @ traders,

    1. Read the lines after the first Update title above. This should fix your color problem.

    2. You should place the adsense code between
<data:post.body/> and </p> to put the ads after the post.

  36. Kevin Hsu // 26 August, 2007 20:00

    I sure hope this works!

  37. Rupesh Mandal // 28 August, 2007 13:32

    thanks :)
but i guess this will add it after each post.. means that you will have empty space after each post after the first one if ur already using another 2 adsense blocks!!
is it the case here?? cuz i haven't tried it yet!
if yes then how can i make this exclusively for the 1st post only?!
